Sodium Benzoate is listed as a nasty in our pocket guide when used for food. But why then do we allow it in our cosmetics? The amount of sodium benzoate used in cosmetics is much smaller than in food as a preservative. Furthermore, the molecules are too large to be absorbed by the skin. This preservative has been allowed by Ecocert; the Soil Association and BDIH. It has been ranked by the EWG as having a low risk of 1. BUT there are reports circulating on the internet that warn against usage of the preservative even in cosmetics. We believe it is still one of the safer preservatives, but as always, we wanted you to be in the loop. The choice is yours to make.

This body lotion has been an absolute life saver! I am 28 weeks pregnant and my skin is reacting to almost everything- natural organic and chemical free- except this lotion. It is light and goes on easy, nourishes and soothes my skin. I have incredibly dry skin so would love a winter version, a bit thicker and more nourishing.

This lotion works like a treat. It is my all year round moisturiser. It is great at preventing any dry looking skin that can happen in the winter months. I found that many body lotions are very expensive and don't last very long. This one is fantastic and so well priced!

This is great value for a natural moisturiser. It's a bit thin as hand cream for winter but would be fine as a light moisturiser for summer. A little irritating on my hands but they are super sensitive.

I use it as a hand cream only. As a body cream ,it's too light. But i love the smell and that it absorbs easily.

I didn't like this product as it is simply not moisturising enough for my skin and I didn't care much for the smell. Although, it does absorb quickly and I would recommend it for a hand lotion in the office or at your desk.
