Why we love it
Aerophytes are plants that live and derive nutrients and water from the air around them - they don’t need soil at all. These Microgardens feature wooden boards with an aerophyte, Multiflora, embedded in a hole in the centre. Simple to mount on the wall and simple to look after, they are the perfect addition to your home or office.
Description
- The Tillandsia Multiflora is a plant that looks a lot like the Tillandsia Abdita and therefore just as colourful
- However, the green, sometimes reddish leaves are smoother and less soft. At a later stage, the Tillandsia Multiflora can be entirely red in colour and in the flowering stage produces one or more purplish flowers from the heart
- The Tillandsia Multiflora grows in dry forests in Central America and Mexico

Hi, the plant itself is lovely but I ordered a heavy jar of cream with it, and when it arrived the jar was sitting on top of the plant so it was squashed and few of the leaves were dead. Still waiting to see if it recovers. So this is just a suggestion to package the plant very carefully when sending it, to make sure it is protected on it's journey.
I bought two of these and what I received were a few tiny leaves in the middle of each board, which is not aesthetically pleasing to me. The one in the photo is quite lush. I have followed the instructions on the box and there has been no change since December.
In love with my air plant!!! Will definitely be buying more - cannot wait to turn the whole wall into my very own micro air plant garden!
I bought 2 of these as gifts. The one arrived damaged and squashed due to being packaged open in a box with a lot of loose and heavy items. Reported the problem and ordered another one, same thing. All three plants died within a few days due to all their roots being submerged in the glue. no plant can survive if you don't leave them just a little piece of root.
My order took very long to arrive, and when it did, the plant was wilted. Hopefully it recovers. Also not clear instructions as to how often to spray it with water (only says 'every now and then' on the box).
