Why we love it
Microgarden’s Air Plant Tillandsia Caput Medusae is an ultra low-maintenance, decorative plant commonly known as “Medusa’s head”, or “octopus plant”. The Tillandsia Caput Medusae got these names from its long, winding leaves which resemble snakes, or the limbs of an octopus. It yields beautiful blooms from spring until early summer.

- Produces bright orange-red blooms tipped with a vibrant purple
- Commonly referred to as “Medusa’s head”, and “octopus plant”
- Like all other types of Tillandsia, the Caput Medusae descends from the
- Bromeliad plant family
- Native to Central America and Mexico
Care Instructions:
- Thrives in semi-shaded areas
- Requires just a spray of water 1-2 times a week
Did you know? The long stem-like flowers that the Caput Medusae yields is actually a cluster of smaller blossoms growing from a single stem. This is called an “inflorescence”.

I love this little plant, I bought it a few weeks ago and it's still happily alive. The wood its fixed to is rugged and the hole could've been made cleaner. All in all happy.
Adds some life to the room and looks very nice in a collage format on a wall. Received a beautiful lush plant and happy with the product.
Easy maintenance and looks great on a brick accent wall. Note it comes in an open box (to aid in breathing during transport)
