Did you know? According to legend, the Khoisan discovered a naturally fermented drink in the hollows of old trees, made from honey that dripped into the water-filled hollow which then fermented naturally. Inspired by their discovery, the Khoisan began to brew their own alcoholic honey drink, called “Karri”. Karri bears many similarities to the better-known Nordic Mead.

This honey has a different taste, it’s not as sweet as I am used to, but it’s not a bad taste, it’s just stronger and earthier, possibly the fynbos infusion coming through: its raw honey, so is very hard, and you need to melt it down a bit if you’re needing a runnier consistency. Once you’re used to the tase, it’s great in oats or spread on a price of sourdough.
I am not sold on this brand of honey. I use a test to ascertain purity and this brand failed it. Tastes like syrup. Will not purchase it again
My hubby LOVES honey!. This one it seems I have to hide from him. lol. Product is yummy goodness! Definitely a product I will purchase again.
T.his honey has a very specific taste. It felt a bit sour at the beginning. The taste grew into some sweetness later on. It is different from honeys I tasted before. Interesting.
I enjoy this pure product so much that I have suggested it to family, friends and colleagues. You can immediately taste it's natural goodness. Once you taste Hoerikwaggo, you'll never go back
