Good Life - Organic Triphala

Triphala is an Ayurvedic herbal rasayana formula consisting of equal parts of three astringent fruits: Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica), and Haritaki (Terminalia chebula). The Hindi word triphala means literally “three fruits”.

Description

Triphala acts as a complete body cleanser. It helps to detoxify and cleanse the colon; purify the blood; reduce some forms of cholesterol and remove toxins from the liver. It is considered a gentle laxative; an intestinal, liver and gallbladder stimulant that helps to decongest these organs.

Because of its high vitamin content, especially vitamin C, Triphala is often used as a food supplement in India. Studies also suggest that triphala offers antioxidant, bacteria-killing, and immune-enhancing benefits, and may have anti-cancer effects.

To Use:

As a maintenance regime, take 1 tsp at betime with warm water or milk.

I've said it before and I'll say it again : I love this brand! For me it never disappoints and the Triphala is no different. Great quality, I believe it to be effective in aiding detoxification and supporting my digestive process (I take it first thing in the morning). It takes a while to get used to the taste - you kind of never really do. Find a way to enjoy the full body chills and making all kinds of faces as it goes down... It's kinda fun!

I’ve used this product as part of a recent Detox I did and apart from it’s terrible taste, I can only recommend it. It’s apparently more easily absorbed in its powder form which is why I chose it. Waiting to get a notification from FTN when this is back in stock and will update my review after longer use!

A bit stringent, but I used half a teaspoon, and found it easy to drink. It helps with digestive issues and does NOT cause any cramps. Great product...
