This is a certified organic blend of slug and snail bait. It lures snails and slugs from their hiding places around plants or gardens. Ingestion, even in small amounts, will cause them to cease feeding and chases away the slugs or snails within three to six days. Use it to protect your lawns, gardens, greenhouses, outdoor ornamentals, vegetable gardens, fruits, berries, citrus and crop plants. 

Alternatively, you can protect your garden from slugs and snails by creating barriers or introducing natural predators. Use gritty dirt, eggshells, sandpaper, ashes, fur and diatomaceous earth to keep snails and slugs from reaching your garden. You can also introduce natural predators such as chickens, geese, ducks, tortoises, frogs, snakes, lizards, beetles or birds to control slugs and snails.

Compatibility and benefits

• Ferramol has been found to be compatible with most commonly used molluscicides. Physical compatibility should first be checked by using the current proportion of Ferramol and other products in a small test jar. Growers should then test tank mix combinations for phytotoxicity on a sample of plants or crops prior to use.
• Do not apply in temperatures above 30ºC.
• Ferramol is an innovative organic molluscicide that protects plants effectively, without harming beneficial insects and the surrounding environment. Ferramol is also user friendly when it comes to handling and application. The active ingredient contained in Ferramol is iron phosphate – a substance that occurs naturally in the soil.
• The slugs and snails controlled by this product include: Deroceras spp., Arion spp., Limax spp., Helix spp. & Cepaea spp.

Directions:

• How to apply: The pellets should be scattered on the soil around or near the plants to be protected. Do not place in piles. If the ground is dry, wet it before applying the bait. The soil should be moist, but with little or no standing water. Reapply as the bait is consumed, or at least every 3 weeks. Apply more regularly if the area is heavily watered or after heavy periods of rain.
• Dosage: 5g or approx 1 level teaspoon per square meter.
• When to apply: Evening is the best time to apply the bait, as slugs and snails travel and feed mostly at night or in the early morning.

• There are alternatives to protecting your plants or garden from slugs and snails should you not care to use bait. 
• Slugs and snails can be deterred by creating barriers or introducing natural predators.

• Ferramol is harmful if swallowed and contact with eyes, skin and clothing should be avoided.
• Ferramol should be kept out of reach of children and uninformed persons.
• Store Ferramol in its original container, in a cool, dry place, away from food and animal feed.
• Do not eat, drink or smoke while applying Ferramol. Wash with soap and water after handling Ferramol.
• Do not contaminate water, food or feed by disposal and do not re-use container. Destroy empty container and dispose of in a safe way.
