A note from our supplier: Pentylene Glycol has a zero listed hazard rating in Cosmetic Data Base and there are 23 published articles which provide interesting data and note studies done back in the 1970’s – in all of these, there was only one case listed of Dermatitis in Belgium and two cases in Cleveland, Ohio, in which the use of a topical cream containing Pentylene Glycol was suspected (not determined) to be the cause of the Dermatitis. www.ewg.org (Skin Deep Data Base) rates Pentylene Glycol as zero hazard. On www.goodguide.com it is listed as having no health concerns and is not on their list of hazardous ingredients. We use Pentylene Glycol only in our creams and lotions, which contain a higher water content and therefore need a proven strong preservative, and we consider it to be the safest and healthiest preservative currently available in the absence of a reliable natural preservative.

Lovely smell, my skin really loved this product at first, but after a while it wasn't moisturising enough...might try one of the others, but would prefer non-plastic packaging.

Works, doesn't smell all that good in my opinion though. It's very light and silky and really does work even for my normal to dry skin, I give it a thumbs up.

Has a great smell and left my skin feeling nice and soft and hydrated. Haven't experienced any oiliness as I would with other face creams.

I have sensitive skin therefore I struggled to find a cream that didn't dry out my skin nor made it too oily. This cream balanced my skin perfectly and dryness and oiliness is a thing of the past. I'm also glad that The Victorian Garden switched from the tube to the container.

Beautiful earthy smell that reminds me of a spa. It's not a rich moisturizer, so for our dry location and this dry time of year I found that it's not enough, but have started using small amounts of the Back 2 Nature Facefood as a base before applying the cream and that combination seems to work perfectly.
